Founded by a Dairyman, RSS operates multiple divisions specializing in; Seed production and sales, Compost production and sales, Farming operations in CO and WY, and a Trucking operation. RSS is a family owned and operated business with a family-like atmosphere. We firmly believe in hard work and enjoying every moment of it. Our Wyoming Farm Operation Consists of about 2,000 acres of irrigated pivots producing Alfalfa, Corn, Triticale and Wheat. The Wyoming Operation also has a small cattle operation.
The following information is related to our Farm Hand position:
Job Description
The Farm Hand position for our Wyoming Farm is of the upmost importance. This position is directly responsible for assisting in all farming and cattle operations. Daily tasks include operating tractors, wheel loaders, feed trucks and swathers. Some job duties include field prep, planting, irrigation, harvest, cutting, raking, bailing, stacking, loading bales, feeding cattle, and cleaning ditches.
This position reports directly to Garrett Allen, Farm Manager.
This positions requires working in the elements within an agricultural setting.
Our Wyoming Farm operates from 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday through the winter months and hours and weekend work increasing once the farming season begins.
Job Requirements
All applicants must:
- Previous Farming or Equipment Operation experience
- Work based out of Wheatland, WY
- Posses a valid drivers license
The ideal candidate would posses the following:
- 2+ years working within an Alfalfa Hay Operation
- Lives or will relocate to Wheatland, WY
Income Potential:
Revolution Soil and Seed firmly believes that the Farm Hand Role is one of the most important aspects of our farm. We work hard to make sure our farm hands earn a very competitive wage based on there performance. Farm Hands make between $32,500 – $40,000 annually.
